John Marshall High School Alumni Reconnect at Coffee and Conversation Event

On Wednesday, May 1st, the Endowment Project Foundation hosted a special Coffee and Conversation event for the Fund for John Marshall High School. More than 30 alumni, whose graduation years ranged from the 1960s to the 1980s, gathered to reconnect and support their alma mater.

The event provided a wonderful opportunity for alumni to meet the school's current principal, Monica Murray. Principal Murray shared exciting updates on the school's progress, including the recent achievement of accreditation, a significant milestone.

Principal Murray also highlighted various needs where alumni support could make a substantial impact. From funding facility improvements to enhancing athletics and extracurricular programs, there are many ways for alumni to contribute and help shape the future of current students.

The morning was filled with engaging conversations and a strong sense of community. Alumni shared stories from their school days, reminiscing about their time at John Marshall while also discussing ways to make a positive impact at the school today. It was not only a time for reminiscing but also an opportunity to foster a collaborative spirit among the alumni, united by a shared goal of supporting John Marshall High School.

In fact, just two weeks later, the class of 1968 completed a nearly $2,000 fundraiser to support the beautification of the John Marshall High School entrance. This generous contribution is a testament to the lasting impact and dedication of John Marshall alumni.

The Coffee and Conversation event was a testament to the lasting bond between John Marshall High School and its alumni. Attendees left with a renewed sense of purpose and commitment to giving back to the school that played such a pivotal role in their lives.

Events like this highlight the power of community and the impact that dedicated alumni can have on their alma mater. Here's to many more gatherings where the past meets the present, building a brighter future for John Marshall High School!
