PAMELA KIECKER ROYALL, Ph.D.
Head of Research, Marketing, and Enrollment Solutions, EAB
Pamela Royall is Head of Research for EAB Enrollment Services (formerly Royall & Company). She directs all research programs conducted through University Research Partners (URP), the survey research division of the organization. In her 21-year tenure at EAB, she has surveyed over one million US-based secondary and post-secondary students and delivered more than 500 research projects to American colleges and universities. Expanding access to higher education is a core focus of her work with EAB, where she has recently co-led development of College Greenlight, the nation’s largest community of professionals supporting and recruiting first-generation, lower-income, and underserved students.
Dr. Royall is a consumer behaviorist. In her 20-year academic career she has served as Full Professor and Department Chair at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she also served as Founding Executive Director of VCU’s Interactive Marketing Institute. Prior to joining VCU’s Marketing Department as Associate Professor in 1994, she served as Assistant Professor of Marketing at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.
A native Minnesotan, Dr. Royall is a graduate of Carleton College (B.A., Religion), where she has served as a Trustee since 2010. She earned an M.B.. from Minnesota State University (Finance), and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Colorado-Boulder. She is currently serving as the first woman Chair of the Virginia Museum of History & Culture, the Foundation Board of the VCU School of Business, the Directors Council of VCU’s Brandcenter, the Advisory Board of the Institute for Contemporary Art (ICA) at VCU, and a Trustee at Virginia Union University. She is also a member and former Chair of Massey Cancer Center Community Advisory Board.
Dr. Royall divides her time between Virginia and Colorado, where she enjoys spending time with the children she shared with her late husband, Bill Royall.
