Jay Ripley is the Head of Investments and Deputy Managing Partner at Global Endowment Management – a full-service Outsourced Chief Investment Office (OCIO) that serves mission-driven institutions. In that role, he leads an integrated investment team covering public, private, and impact investing.

One of the industry’s first OCIOs, GEM was founded in 2007 to provide the advantages of a major university investment program to a wider range of mission-driven institutions. Today, GEM is a leading endowment management platform with more than $11 billion of AUM.

Since joining GEM in 2014, Jay led the build-out of GEM’s venture capital portfolio and designed GEM’s buyout strategy, including its sizeable independent sponsor program. He has also led a number of important initiatives for the firm, most notably co-founding the impact investing program alongside Meredith Heimburger.

Before coming to GEM, Jay spent 6 years at Stone Point Capital, a leading private equity firm.

A Georgia native, Jay graduated summa cum laude with a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Georgia.
